ABOUT THE CURRICULUM

1. What This Curriculum Is

Minds of All Kinds is a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming elementary curriculum designed for Kindergarten to Grade 4. It supports students in understanding how their brains work, recognizing strengths and support needs, and building inclusive classroom communities.

2. How the Curriculum Is Structured

  • Lesson 1 (All Grades): Brain Maps + shared language about strengths and challenges

  • 3 Tiered Lessons: Developmentally sequenced learning about neurodiversity, learning differences, tools, and advocacy (see below)

  • Extension Activities: Flexible, teacher-selected activities that deepen self-awareness and inclusion

  • Family Resources: Take-home materials that support shared language between school and home

3. How It Is Used

  • Designed for 30-minute lessons

  • Can be delivered by psychologists, counsellors, or teachers

  • Built to align with inclusive, UDL-informed classrooms

  • Flexible—not prescriptive

4. Guiding Principles

  • All brains have strengths and areas that require support

  • Difference is natural, not deficient

  • Fairness means everyone gets what they need

  • Belonging is foundational to learning
